1. Overview

OpenBoxTracker ("the Service"), operated by AxiumFoundry ("we", "us"), helps you find open box deals at Micro Center stores. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and who we share it with. The short version: we collect only what the Service needs to work, we do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

2. Information You Provide

• Account details: your email address and a password. We store the password only as a secure one-way hash; we cannot see it.
• Tracking preferences: the stores you select, the SKUs you track, and any maximum price you set for alerts.
• Support requests: the subject and message you send, along with the page you were on and basic browser information attached to help us debug.

3. Information Collected Automatically

• Sign-in records: when you sign in, we record the time and IP address, and keep a count of sign-ins. We use this to secure accounts and prevent abuse.
• Server logs: like nearly every website, our servers keep standard request logs (IP address, browser user agent, pages requested) for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
• Notification history: the deal alerts the Service has sent or shown to you.

4. Billing Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe and never reaches our servers. We store your Stripe customer identifier and your subscription status so the Service knows which plan you are on. Stripe's handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and, if you choose "remember me", a persistent sign-in cookie. These are essential to the Service. We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. How We Use Information

• Operate the Service: match open box listings at your selected stores against your tracked SKUs and send you alert emails.
• Account email: password resets, billing and plan notices, and responses to your support requests.
• Security: detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• Diagnostics: identify and fix errors.

7. Service Providers

We share data with a small number of providers, each only to do its job for us:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Brevo — delivers the emails we send (alerts, password resets, account notices).
• Hosting provider — runs the servers and database where the Service and its data live.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service and its users.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account exists. Of your sign-in records we keep only the two most recent, each replaced at your next sign-in; server logs are kept for a limited period. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except records we are required to keep (such as billing records for tax and accounting purposes).

9. Your Choices and Rights

• You control your alerts: pause or remove tracked SKUs and change store selections at any time.
• Email us at [email protected] to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights to this (for example under the GDPR or CCPA); we honor reasonable requests from all users regardless of location.

10. Security

All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Access to production data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we design the Service to hold as little personal data as possible.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and we will announce material changes by email or through the Service.
